What You'll Do10
- 1Build geotechnical engineering deliverables for projects of varying size from concept to post construction
- 2Lead field exploration programs and lab testing coordination and review results for accuracy
- 3Review logs and laboratory data, provide corrective actions, and develop engineering recommendations
- 4Direct staff on geotechnical tasks, monitor progress, and ensure quality and schedule compliance
- 5Own GEOR responsibilities on appropriate projects and approve changes during construction
- 6Prepare proposals, scopes of work, and fee estimates for new geotechnical projects
- 7Mentor junior engineers and provide professional development opportunities
- 8Foster client relationships and pursue business development opportunities
- 9Oversee project invoicing, cost control, and timely communication with clients
- 10Coordinate field operations including permits, subs, and traffic control as needed
Requirements9
- 1Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited school
- 2Professional Engineer license in Texas or ability to obtain within six months
- 37+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering or a related field
- 4Experience managing large engineering projects and leading teams
- 5Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and geotechnical software
- 6Valid Texas driver’s license and ability to meet auto insurability requirements
- 7Strong communication, technical writing, and interpersonal skills
- 8Ability to travel to client sites and project locations as needed
- 9Must be self-motivated with good attendance and ability to work independently
