Senior Finance Manager, FP&A and Accounting Operations
Overview
Own the full finance agenda for Standex Engraving's North American business: budgeting, forecasting, FP&A, KPIs, and month-end close across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. You lead the NA finance and accounting team, anchor the segregation-of-duties framework, and drive the SAP integration and a common North American P&L. This role sits at the intersection of operations and executive leadership, converting financial data into decisions that shape P&L performance. Standex is a publicly traded, SOX-compliant manufacturer, and you will partner directly with the Global VP, Finance. What sets this apart is the scope: you own both the forward-looking strategy and the accounting integrity, with direct leadership over a cross-functional team.
What You'll Do8
- 1Build the annual budget, periodic forecasts, and weekly forecast process across all North American entities, using SAP and OneStream.
- 2Drive variance analysis, scenario planning, and management reporting that explain the 'why' behind the numbers, delivering actionable insight to plant and executive leaders.
- 3Design and track KPIs for the region, partnering with operations to translate data into cost and margin improvements.
- 4Lead the NA finance and accounting team, setting clear expectations, coaching performance, and building cross-training and backup coverage for every key function.
- 5Review and approve month-end close, OneStream loads, master data changes, and capital requests, ensuring SOX and COSO compliance.
- 6Oversee intercompany transactions and transfer pricing across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, coordinating with corporate on legal and compliance matters.
- 7Drive the NA Finance + SAP integration, harmonizing a common North American P&L and supporting automation and AI initiatives to reduce non-value-added work.
- 8Partner with plant and operations leaders on financial performance and decision support, providing financial modeling for growth and capital projects.
Requirements8
- 18-10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including FP&A and team leadership.
- 2Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (or equivalent experience).
- 3Proven track record owning budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting in a multi-entity environment.
- 4Hands-on experience with month-end close oversight, internal controls, and GAAP in a SOX-compliant setting.
- 5Strong ERP experience, with SAP preferred, and consolidation tools like OneStream.
- 6Experience leading and developing a finance team, including hiring, coaching, and succession planning.
- 7Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive solutions rather than escalate them.
- 8CPA, CMA, MBA, or equivalent preferred; manufacturing (plastics or automotive supply) and multi-country (U.S., Canada, Mexico) experience a plus.
