What You'll Do11
- 1Oversee independent cost estimates for change orders and value engineering studies
- 2Create complex cost models for estimating elements and prepare claims analysis
- 3Perform parametric order-of-magnitude estimating before facility designs are finalized
- 4Analyze specifications and drawings to estimate labor material and equipment costs
- 5Develop duration estimates based on construction approaches and production rates
- 6Provide quality control for quantity takeoffs and coordinate with project supervisors
- 7Consult with clients and vendors to resolve cost estimation issues
- 8Prepare bid estimates and lead price negotiations
- 9Set up cost monitoring systems and establish enterprise-level estimating policies
- 10Maintain historical cost databases and support procurement document preparation
- 11Collaborate with risk teams to align risk registers with project profiles
Requirements5
- 1Bachelor's degree in Engineering Architecture or Construction Management with 9 years relevant experience
- 2AACE Certified Estimating Professional or equivalent professional certification
- 3Proven expertise in 2+ project lifecycle phases
- 4Extensive experience with cost estimation software and industry-standard tools
- 5Demonstrated ability to provide expert guidance in complex estimating scenarios
