Senior Electrical Designer, Revit, AutoCAD & MEP Systems
Overview
Own electrical design work at scale for multi‑discipline projects in Indianapolis. Lead creation and maintenance of power, lighting, and instrumentation drawings using Revit and AutoCAD across design phases. Collaborate with civil, architectural, mechanical, and structural teams to deliver coordinated construction documents and code compliant designs. Improve drafting standards and model management to support project efficiency and accuracy.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and modify electrical drawings using Revit and AutoCAD for power, lighting, and instrumentation systems
- 2Produce construction documents, plans, diagrams, schedules, and details aligned with project requirements
- 3Coordinate electrical designs with other disciplines to deliver integrated project deliverables
- 4Assist in performing load calculations, equipment layouts, and circuiting under guidance from a licensed engineer
- 5Maintain and update project models, families, and templates within Revit
- 6Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and code compliance
- 7Support project teams through all phases from concept to construction administration
- 8Participate in internal design reviews and contribute to drafting standards improvements
- 9Contribute to continuous improvement of drafting and modeling processes
- 10Collaborate with field teams to troubleshoot and resolve design issues in the field
Requirements7
- 110+ years of experience as an electrical designer or similar role
- 2Experience in Revit (MEP focus) and AutoCAD for electrical design is a plus
- 3Strong understanding of electrical systems including lighting and power distribution
- 4Experience in field troubleshooting instrumentation and control systems
- 5Ability to read and interpret construction documents, specifications, and engineering sketches
- 6Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
- 7Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced environment
