Electrical Designer, Revit & AutoCAD in Construction Projects
Overview
Revit and AutoCAD driven electrical designer who owns the creation and update of power, lighting, and instrumentation drawings at scale. You will work with multidisciplinary teams in Indianapolis on coordinated construction documents and model maintenance. You will contribute to modeling standards and code compliance across project phases. This role offers collaboration with engineers, designers, and contractors in a fast paced environment.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and modify electrical drawings using Revit and AutoCAD, including power, lighting, and instrumentation systems
- 2Produce construction documents, plans, diagrams, schedules, and details in accordance with project requirements and industry standards
- 3Coordinate electrical designs with civil, architectural, mechanical, structural, and other disciplines for integrated deliverables
- 4Assist in performing load calculations, equipment layouts, and circuiting under the direction of a licensed engineer
- 5Maintain and update project models, families, and templates within Revit
- 6Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable codes
- 7Support project teams through all phases from conceptual design to construction administration
- 8Participate in internal design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of drafting and modeling standards
- 9Contribute to the accuracy and efficiency of drafting workflows and standards across projects
- 10Ensure coordination and documentation quality during project handoffs to construction
Requirements6
- 12-5 years of experience as an electrical designer or similar role
- 2Proficient in Revit (MEP focus) and AutoCAD for electrical design
- 3Strong understanding of electrical systems including lighting and power distribution
- 4Ability to read and interpret construction documents, specifications, and engineering sketches
- 5Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
- 6Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced environment
