Overview
Bath Engineering seeks an Electrical Designer with 3–10 years of experience to support industrial power distribution utility infrastructure and electrical engineering projects. This detail-oriented role involves developing electrical engineering drawings and construction documents using AutoCAD AutoCAD Electrical Revit BIM and related drafting software. What You'll Do12
- 1Develop electrical engineering drawings and construction documents using AutoCAD AutoCAD Electrical Revit BIM and related drafting software
- 2Prepare electrical design drawings including one-line diagrams electrical plans conduit layouts grounding plans lighting and power plans equipment layouts MCC and switchgear layouts panel schedules wiring and interconnect diagrams electrical details and installation drawings
- 3Translate hand sketches field notes redlines vendor drawings and engineering markups into accurate construction drawings
- 4Read evaluate and interpret engineering drawings plans specifications and vendor documentation
- 5Support brownfield retrofit and renovation projects through field verification and as-built drawing updates
- 6Conduct field investigations site visits and existing condition surveys as required
- 7Coordinate with engineers field personnel vendors and project teams to incorporate site conditions into final design packages
- 8Maintain organized project files drawing logs and engineering documentation
- 9Support multidisciplinary engineering teams including electrical instrumentation controls mechanical and civil disciplines
- 10Assist with project coordination drawing revisions document updates and revision tracking
- 11Work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced engineering environment
- 12Support project schedules and deliverables while maintaining quality and accuracy
Requirements8
- 13–10 years of electrical design experience in industrial utility infrastructure consulting engineering or related environments
- 2Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD AutoCAD Electrical Revit BIM and related drafting software
- 3Ability to read and interpret electrical engineering plans drawings specifications and one-line diagrams
- 4Experience developing drawings from engineering markups field sketches and vendor drawings
- 5Strong understanding of drafting standards scaling and drawing organization
- 6Familiarity with Microsoft Excel Word Adobe Acrobat and Bluebeam preferred
- 7Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 8Preference for experience in industrial facilities utility infrastructure power distribution systems substation projects water and wastewater treatment facilities oil and gas or petrochemical facilities MCC and switchgear layouts instrumentation and controls brownfield retrofit projects field verification and as-built updates consulting engineering or EPC environments
