We seek a Senior Construction Surety Underwriter Account Executive Officer to lead risk assessment and client relationship management within our Construction Services team. What You'll Do11
- 1Manage profitability growth and retention of a book comprising moderately to highly complex accounts
- 2Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability
- 3Execute underwriting strategies aligned with regional and group sales objectives
- 4Cultivate relationships with internal and external partners through regular agent and broker engagement
- 5Identify new business opportunities using consultative marketing and sales techniques
- 6Develop and implement individual agency sales plans matching regional directives
- 7Train and mentor less experienced underwriters to elevate team capabilities
- 8Analyze financial statements and market forces to inform consultative recommendations
- 9Travel to meet with agents and brokers to promote Travelers products
- 10Maintain detailed documentation of risk assessments and negotiation outcomes
- 11Collaborate with leadership to refine underwriting policies and service offerings
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor's degree with five to eight years of relevant underwriting experience
- 2Deep understanding of construction insurance products and regulatory frameworks
- 3Proven expertise in financial analysis and risk evaluation
- 4Excellent negotiation and communication skills for high-stakes discussions
- 5Demonstrated ability to train and develop junior professionals
- 6Four years of direct underwriting or related risk assessment experience
- 7Certification in CPC Card or equivalent construction insurance credential
- 8Experience with AWS Certified solutions in enterprise environments
- 9Familiarity with Kubernetes deployment strategies for scalable systems
- 10Strong analytical mindset for interpreting complex datasets
- 11Ability to thrive in fast-paced operational settings
