What You'll Do13
- 1Analyze and process all conflict requests including complex cases to verify firm engagement clarity
- 2Develop database search terms and generate conflict reports for high volume requests
- 3Conduct corporate research to validate party identities and address high profile issues
- 4Identify conflicts by reviewing reports and supporting documentation
- 5Interpret database results for attorneys and business professionals
- 6Draft conflict waivers and engagement letters while maintaining confidentiality
- 7Provide regular updates to responsible attorneys regarding clearance status
- 8Request waivers and confirm resolution of all conflicts
- 9Draft conflict training materials for secretaries paralegals and staff
- 10Perform legal ethics research and stay updated on industry trends
- 11Maintain detailed conflict resolution notes and responses
- 12Collaborate with partners via email and phone to resolve issues
- 13Implement ethical screening processes
Requirements10
- 1Proficiency in IntApp Open Contract Express or similar systems
- 2Knowledge of ABA Model Rules and California Bar Rules
- 3Bachelor's degree or JD with paralegal certificate preferred
- 45+ years progressive legal experience with 3+ in conflicts
- 5Analytical thinking and independent problem solving abilities
- 6Strong communication and organizational skills
- 7Ability to work in fast-paced environment
- 8Experience with legal research tools
- 9Familiarity with corporate law practices
