What You'll Do11
- 1Assess submissions for new matters and attorney onboarding to identify potential conflicts and summarize findings for stakeholders
- 2Research clients related parties and corporate relationships to build comprehensive conflict pictures
- 3Prepare conflict reports highlighting key risks affected parties and follow up items
- 4Examine waivers disclosure documents and engagement terms to verify conflict alignment
- 5Support review of outside counsel guidelines and apply them during conflict evaluations
- 6Coordinate with attorneys conflicts personnel and risk leaders to resolve intake and lateral hire issues
- 7Establish and maintain ethical screens draft supporting notices and documentation
- 8Protect sensitive client and firm information through sound judgment discretion and confidentiality
- 9Contribute to conflict check processes and assist with coverage outside standard hours
- 10Analyze legal business organizational relationships to identify potential conflict issues
- 11Maintain accurate written and verbal communication presenting findings clearly
Requirements5
- 15+ years building conflict checks legal intake review or related risk management work
- 2Strong ability to analyze legal business organizational relationships
- 3Familiarity with engagement letters waivers disclosures and outside counsel guidelines
- 4Working knowledge of ethical wall procedures and conduct considerations
- 5Excellent written verbal communication presenting findings clearly and concisely
