Senior Communications Manager Hippo Insurance Tech-Driven Media Strategy
Overview
Lead press and media strategy for Hippo Insurance, translating complex business results into compelling narratives. This is a high-visibility role at a publicly traded insurer at the intersection of insurance and technology. You will manage end-to-end press strategy, partner with Finance and Investor Relations, and drive thought leadership while building a sustainable system for storytelling across executive communications and consumer campaigns.
What You'll Do9
- 1Manage Hippo's press and media strategy end-to-end including narrative development and press release writing
- 2Partner with Finance and Investor Relations on quarterly earnings communications
- 3Lead executive communications prep for high-stakes interviews and build secondary spokespeople
- 4Drive thought leadership by identifying and placing commentary and speaking opportunities
- 5Shape and execute consumer communications highlighting Hippo's role in protecting homeowners
- 6Coordinate with PR agency to manage execution and shared media relationships
- 7Act as a direct partner to the executive team providing proactive issue surfacing for storytelling
- 8Own the development of a sustainable system for ongoing storytelling across channels
- 9Serve as a high-trust advisor to senior executives regarding public appearances and reputation management
Requirements9
- 18+ years corporate communications PR or media relations spanning in-house and agency environments
- 2Proven track record owning press releases editorial calendars and media relationships end-to-end
- 3Strong experience with PR agency management and driving media relations outcomes
- 4Experience with finance or investor relations on public company earnings communications
- 5Ability to prepare executives for high-visibility media engagements
- 6Experience working with insurance or financial services brands preferred
- 7Strong judgment operating with ambiguity and limited day-to-day direction
- 8Excellent writing and editing skills promoting executive leader voices across channels
