Senior Business Intelligence Developer, ETL & Power BI
Overview
Own the design and delivery of BI solutions that drive decisions across the enterprise. You will lead complex projects from data modeling to dashboard deployment, working with SQL, Power BI, and OBIEE in an Azure environment. Your team includes junior developers you will mentor daily, plus cross-functional business partners. This role demands deep technical skill in ETL and a proven track record of turning raw data into actionable insights.
What You'll Do9
- 1Design and build scalable BI solutions using Power BI and OBIEE to support key business metrics.
- 2Develop complex data models and report structures that cut through noise and highlight trends.
- 3Construct real-time KPI dashboards that track operational performance and alert on anomalies.
- 4Write and tune advanced SQL and PL/SQL scripts for efficient data extraction and transformation.
- 5Collaborate with business units to translate requirements into technical BI specs and deliver them.
- 6Perform deep-dive data analysis to uncover patterns, inefficiencies, and growth opportunities.
- 7Enforce data governance standards and ensure data quality across all BI outputs.
- 8Debug and resolve complex BI issues during critical reporting windows to maintain uptime.
- 9Mentor junior developers on best practices for ETL, SQL, and reporting design.
Requirements10
- 18+ years in IT with a focus on business intelligence, data modeling, and analytics.
- 2Expert-level SQL and PL/SQL skills, including performance tuning and complex joins.
- 3Strong ETL experience using SSIS or Talend for data pipelines.
- 4Proficiency with Power BI and OBIEE for dashboard and report development.
- 5Deep understanding of data warehousing: OLTP, OLAP, and dimensional schemas.
- 6Hands-on experience with data transformation, staging, and cleansing workflows.
- 7Solid grasp of Agile and Scrum methodologies in a delivery team.
- 8Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale datasets from diverse sources.
- 9Strong problem-solving skills and a systematic approach to debugging.
- 10Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field.
