
Senior Business Analyst, Life Sciences Model N
Overview
Own Model N commercial and government pricing operations for a Life Sciences leader in Dallas. You will drive rebate processing and revenue management at scale, collaborating with commercial and IT teams to translate business needs into configurable solutions. This 6+ month engagement requires deep Model N expertise and a consultative mindset to optimize pricing workflows.
What You'll Do8
- 1Lead requirement gathering and functional design for Model N pricing, rebate, and chargeback modules during the first 90 days.
- 2Map current state processes to future state, identifying gaps and proposing Model N-based solutions for revenue management.
- 3Drive configuration and testing of Model N applications, ensuring compliance with Life Sciences pricing regulations.
- 4Partner with internal stakeholders to align Model N functionality with commercial contracting and government pricing strategies.
- 5Document detailed functional specs and user stories, translating business rules into technical requirements for developers.
- 6Facilitate UAT sessions with business users, validating Model N outputs and ensuring data accuracy in rebate calculations.
- 7Coordinate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot data issues and optimize Model N integration with ERP systems.
- 8Deliver status reports and impact analyses to leadership, highlighting risk areas and mitigation plans for pricing governance.
Requirements8
- 15+ years as a Business Analyst in the Life Sciences industry, with 3+ years hands-on Model N experience.
- 2Deep functional knowledge of Model N Revenue Management and Government Pricing modules.
- 3Strong understanding of rebate processing, chargebacks, and Medicaid/Medicare pricing regulations.
- 4Proven track record of leading requirements sessions and creating BRDs/FRDs for Model N implementations.
- 5Experience with SQL and data analysis to validate pricing outputs and troubleshoot discrepancies.
- 6Ability to work 100% on-site in Dallas, TX for a 6+ month contract.
- 7Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a consultative approach.
- 8Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, or related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
