What You'll Do11

  • 2Conduct scenario‑based forecasting using trend analysis and what‑if modeling
  • 3Prepare campus operating budget and non‑general fund submissions for Chancellor’s Office
  • 4Support GAAP audit processes and recommend chart of accounts improvements
  • 5Publish annual Internal Budget Document with detailed financial schedules
  • 6Lead budget administration tasks for Foundation Lottery Parking Housing Student Health Center CPaCE units
  • 7Maintain financial systems PeopleSoft and HR platforms for accurate reporting
  • 8Develop dashboards translating complex data into actionable insights for executives
  • 9Partner with institutional research to align financial strategies with enrollment trends
  • 10Ensure compliance with university policies and California regulations
  • 11Mentor junior analysts and foster a culture of fiscal responsibility

Requirements11

  • 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
  • 2Bachelor’s degree in Finance Accounting or related field
  • 3Proficient in PeopleSoft Financials and advanced Excel modeling
  • 4Expertise in trend analysis statistical modeling and scenario forecasting
  • 5Understanding of CSU‑FIRMS reporting and State Controller processes
  • 6Strong communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration
  • 7Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate forecasts under deadline pressure
  • 8Experience with budgeting in higher education or public sector environments
  • 9Commitment to diversity and inclusive campus community engagement
  • 10Background check clearance required prior to appointment
  • 11Demonstrated ability to translate financial data into strategic recommendations
