Overview

Lead financial planning and analysis for Stanford's Land Buildings and Real Estate division. What You'll Do9

  • 1Build and design ad hoc analyses of large complex datasets to reconcile clearing accounts and support budgeting decisions
  • 2Own end‑to‑end financial planning processes including annual budgeting mid‑year reforecasts and capital planning
  • 3Present high‑level recommendations to senior leadership focusing on strategic financial insights
  • 4Ensure compliance with university policies regarding service centers and diverse fund types
  • 5Develop reports and presentations translating intricate financial metrics for executive and non‑technical audiences
  • 6Identify and resolve complex issues spanning multiple departments while maintaining rigorous accuracy under tight deadlines
  • 7Participate in system redesign projects and mentor junior analysts to elevate team capabilities
  • 8Collaborate with facilities operations to align financial forecasts with capital projects and sustainability goals
  • 9Maintain comprehensive documentation of financial procedures and develop process automation scripts

Requirements7

  • 15+ years building financial models using Excel and advanced analytics tools
  • 2Proven experience with adaptive planning platforms and cloud based financial systems
  • 3Strong understanding of GAAP principles and corporate finance fundamentals
  • 4Excellent communication skills for translating data insights into actionable strategies
  • 5Ability to rapidly master new technologies such as AI driven analytics platforms
  • 6Demonstrated track record of leading independent projects with minimal supervision
  • 7Bachelor’s degree in Finance Accounting or related field combined with practical industry experience
