Senior BI Platform Administrator, Power BI & Snowflake
Overview
You will own the enterprise BI platform across Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and Snowflake, ensuring high availability and performance for 5,000+ users. You will lead the design of robust governance frameworks and enforce row-level security models to protect sensitive data. Working with data engineers and analysts, you will build reusable semantic layers that accelerate decision-making. This role stands out because you will drive AI-powered analytics initiatives and modernize the platform with Fabric and Snowflake.
What You'll Do8
- 1Design and implement federated Power BI governance frameworks, including workspace lifecycle, certification, and row-level security models.
- 2Build and maintain the BI platform infrastructure on Microsoft Fabric and Snowflake, optimizing performance and cost.
- 3Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for BI artifacts using Azure DevOps and Power BI deployment pipelines.
- 4Set up proactive monitoring and alerting for Power BI and Snowflake using Azure Monitor and Snowflake metrics.
- 5Drive adoption of AI-powered insights and natural language queries in Power BI and Fabric through architecture enablement.
- 6Collaborate with data engineering to convert legacy SSRS and SSIS workloads to Power BI and Fabric.
- 7Own the semantic model layer for key business domains, establishing DAX and SQL standards.
- 8Drive data governance initiatives to ensure Power BI and Snowflake compliance with GDPR and SOC 2.
Requirements7
- 15+ years administering enterprise Power BI and Snowflake environments.
- 23+ years with Microsoft Fabric or Azure Synapse and Azure Data Factory.
- 3Expert-level DAX and SQL skills, with performance tuning and security implementation.
- 4Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and Power BI deployment pipelines.
- 5Strong understanding of data modeling, including star schemas and DFD.
- 6Experience with Microsoft Purview and Azure Information Protection for data governance.
- 7Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent experience.
