Overview
Senior Audit & Assurance Associate supporting growing Audit & Assurance practice. Complete audit review and compilation engagements following GAAS SSARS firm standards. Manage assignments maintain deadlines and handle client communications. Develop technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statements. Travel up to 20% to client sites.
What You'll Do8
- 1Prepare high-quality workpapers financial statement drafts audit communication letters management representation letters and engagement documentation
- 2Perform audit review and compilation engagements according to applicable GAAS SSARS and firm standards
- 3Manage assigned engagements to keep work on track on budget and aligned with deadlines
- 4Identify research and resolve accounting financial reporting and auditing matters with limited supervision
- 5Review staff work provide coaching and collaborate with managers partners and team members
- 6Collaborate with stakeholders throughout engagement execution reporting and client communication
- 7Support engagement teams during peak periods manage workloads and increase hours to meet deadlines
- 8Travel up to 20% to client locations including year-end physical inventory observations
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field active CPA license
- 2Four or more years in public accounting with progressive audit and assurance responsibilities
- 3Audit management experience in nonprofit employee benefit plans HUD and privately held companies
- 4Experience in compilation and review engagements
- 5Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP GAAS SSARS financial statement presentation and engagement documentation IFRS a plus
- 6Proficiency with engagement management software caseware or Engagement and Microsoft Word Excel
- 7Analytical organizational time-management and problem-solving skills
- 8Ability to manage priorities meet deadlines and communicate with managers and partners
- 9Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 10Demonstrated client relationship management leadership potential and commitment to professional development
- 11Willingness to work extended hours during peak busy season periods
