Senior Airborne Platform Automation Test Engineer
Overview
Lead quality assurance and testing of software for Gogo airborne products on a Linux platform. Build and execute automated tests for existing and next generation 5G Air to Ground and Satcom solutions. What You'll Do11
- 1Verify, validate, and regression test Linux networking wireless telecommunications data protocols mobile communication and device GUI features
- 2Create test plans test scripts and test cases for product validation and bug fixes based on system requirements
- 3Review update and execute existing automated regression tests and analyze results
- 4Automate regression tests via the Gogo GATE framework
- 5Identify and troubleshoot software network problems and implement appropriate corrections
- 6Lead test automation initiatives and drive continuous improvement of testing processes
- 7Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in automation scripting
- 8Ensure adherence to DO‑178C certification standards throughout testing lifecycle
- 9Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Git
- 10Coordinate with avionics and ARINC protocol specialists to address complex testing challenges
- 11Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing across the engineering organization
Requirements12
- 1Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering Electrical Engineer or equivalent experience
- 24‑7 years of software firmware or system testing experience including test planning integration and system level testing
- 3Strong QA background with expertise in automation scripting
- 4Fluency in Python 3 development environments
- 5Extensive experience with Linux routing and networking protocols TCPIP UDP including performance throughput testing
- 6Proficiency with Jenkins automation build and test workflows
- 7Familiarity with Git version control and Linux server administration
- 8Knowledge of Docker container concepts especially for web GUI test automation
- 9Experience with Avionics and ARINC protocols
- 10Familiarity with DO‑178C certification process
- 11Satellite communication and cellular network experience
- 12Agile methodology and SAFe framework proficiency
