Overview

You will own a full patient caseload, delivering advanced TCM assessments and acupuncture treatments for complex chronic conditions at our Austin clinic. You'll lead clinical innovation and mentor junior practitioners, collaborating with a team dedicated to integrated functional medicine. With 5+ years of experience and NCCAOM certification, you'll shape treatment protocols and elevate patient care standards.

What You'll Do8

  • 1Conduct comprehensive TCM assessments, including tongue, pulse, and palpation, to diagnose and treat chronic pain, hypertension, anxiety, and insomnia.
  • 2Administer precise acupuncture treatments with advanced needling techniques, tailoring point selection and retention to each patient's condition.
  • 3Integrate moxibustion, cupping, gua sha, and acupressure to enhance treatment outcomes.
  • 4Apply myofascial release and acupuncture massage to reduce discomfort and improve tissue healing.
  • 5Develop personalized lifestyle and dietary plans grounded in TCM principles to support long-term health and prevention.
  • 6Mentor junior practitioners and contribute to clinic quality improvement initiatives, refining best-practice protocols.
  • 7Maintain detailed treatment records in the EHR system, ensuring continuity of care and HIPAA compliance.
  • 8Educate patients on TCM philosophy and self-care strategies to empower active participation in their healing process.

Requirements9

  • 1Valid state acupuncture license and passing score on the NCCAOM examination.
  • 25+ years of full-time clinical acupuncture practice with expertise in complex conditions.
  • 3Advanced or Master's level training in TCM or Oriental Medicine from an accredited institution.
  • 4Comprehensive knowledge of human anatomy and physiology applied to acupuncture point location and safety.
  • 5Proficiency in sterile needle techniques and advanced therapeutic modalities.
  • 6Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic reasoning skills, with ability to adjust treatment plans based on patient response.
  • 7Excellent verbal and written communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • 8Commitment to continuing education and evidence-based practice standards.
  • 9Specialized training in sports acupuncture, neurofunctional acupuncture, or pain management is a plus.
