Senior Accountant, Financial Services & Public Company Audits
Overview
Owns monthly close tasks, variances, and reconciliations in a high-growth financial services environment with cross-functional collaboration. Leads process improvements, mentors junior teammates, and partners with business leaders to drive reliable accounting results. Works on projects including M&A, system development, and control development.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build close processes including analytics, reconciliations, and control environments
- 2Drive fluctuation analyses on variances in monthly results for income statement and balance sheet
- 3Own and deliver external audit requests with timely collaboration
- 4Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes through automation
- 5Partner with business leaders to track financial metrics and risks to ensure reliable results
- 6Mentor junior team members and collaborate on cross-functional projects
- 7Support management on projects including M&A, system development, and efficiency initiatives
- 8Develop relationships across business units to foster effective cross-functional working environment
- 9Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting
- 10Maintain high-quality financial reporting in a SOX-controlled environment
Requirements10
- 1Minimum of 3 – 6 years’ experience in public accounting and/or large company
- 2Advanced knowledge of financial reporting standards and accounting principles
- 3Proficiency in Excel and general ledger applications (Workday preferred)
- 4Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- 5Self-starter with ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- 6Prior experience in financial services industry and public company controls (SOX) a plus
- 7Active CPA highly preferred
- 8Experience with external audits and footnotes preparation
- 9Ability to communicate effectively with leadership and cross-functional teams
- 10Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting
Salary Insight
$86 - $105k per year
