Staff Accountant
Overview
We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Accounting and Finance team. This position will play an integral role in the monthly and quarterly close process while also supporting the company’s external financial reporting and SEC filing requirements.
What You'll Do11
- 1Participate in the monthly quarterly and annual financial close processes
- 2Prepare and post journal entries accruals and account adjustments
- 3Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate and resolve discrepancies
- 4Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- 5Prepare supporting schedules and analyses for monthly and quarterly financial results
- 6Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual SEC filings including Forms 10-Q and 10-K
- 7Support the preparation and review of financial statements footnotes and related disclosures
- 8Assist with quarterly earnings support and external reporting schedules
- 9Perform tie-outs and ensure consistency between financial statements disclosures and supporting documentation
- 10Coordinate with internal accounting teams to gather information required for SEC reporting
- 11Assist with external audit requests and provide supporting documentation to auditors
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Finance or a related field
- 22–4 years of accounting experience
- 3Hands-on experience with month-end and quarter-end close
- 4Exposure to SEC reporting including 10-Q and 10-K filings
- 5Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
- 6Public accounting and/or publicly traded corporate accounting experience
- 7Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- 8Experience with ERP and financial reporting systems
- 9Analytical and problem-solving skills
- 10Excellent attention to detail and ability to work within tight reporting deadlines
- 11Strong written and verbal communication skills
Salary Insight
$90 - $95k per year
