Security Training Manager, Casino Gaming Compliance
Overview
You will own the design and execution of all security training at MotorCity Casino Hotel, a 400-room property with 1,200+ associates. You ensure every officer meets Michigan Gaming Control Board standards and stays audit-ready. You partner with Security Leadership to close skill gaps and drive a safety-first culture. What You'll Do8
- 1Build a new-hire onboarding curriculum covering Michigan Gaming Control Board rules, de-escalation, and surveillance protocols.
- 2Deliver monthly refresher training on emergency response, using live drills and tabletop exercises.
- 3Coach and mentor security supervisors and officers through ride-alongs and post-training feedback.
- 4Shadow tenured officers to identify training gaps, then design targeted micro-learning modules.
- 5Launch a digital training dashboard with LMS to track completion and audit readiness.
- 6Facilitate a train-the-trainer program for senior officers to lead shift-level huddles.
- 7Evaluate training effectiveness through post-training assessments and on-floor observations.
- 8Partner with Security Leadership to plan and execute quarterly operational readiness exercises.
Requirements8
- 11+ year in security, law enforcement, or casino surveillance.
- 2High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
- 3Expertise in adult learning principles and instructional design.
- 4Strong knowledge of Michigan Gaming Control Board regulations and casino security operations.
- 52+ years facilitating training sessions to groups of 20+.
- 6Excellent public speaking and presentation skills.
- 7Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a track record of improving training outcomes.
- 8CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days.
