You will own overnight security for a DoD aeronautical site in Detroit, covering desk work, foot patrol, and vehicle patrol. What You'll Do7
- 1Patrol assigned premises on foot and by vehicle to deter theft, violence, and rule violations.
- 2Monitor doors, windows, and gates to ensure they are secure and functioning properly.
- 3Warn violators of premises rules and regulations, using calm deescalation techniques.
- 4Report facility hazards such as fire risks and leaking pipes to the appropriate channels.
- 5Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations, following established protocols.
- 6Document incidents and observations in shift logs and communicate via radio.
- 7Maintain a visible security presence to reassure staff and visitors.
Requirements8
- 11+ years in security, military, or related field with unarmed guard experience.
- 2Valid Michigan security license or ability to obtain before start.
- 3High school diploma or equivalent.
- 4Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform foot patrols in all weather.
- 5CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
- 6Strong attention to detail and observation skills.
- 7Calm demeanor under pressure and proven deescalation ability.
- 8Open to part-time overnight shifts, including weekends.
