Overview

The Security Program Protection Specialist at System One leads day-to-day security classification guidance and assessments for classified and controlled unclassified information within NGA Research Offices and Pods. This role drives ownership of system security analysis and risk assessment while protecting U.S. Government National Security and Intelligence Community interests. The position distinguishes itself through unique classification guideline development and cross-functional coordination.

What You'll Do11

  • 1Provide system security analysis and program documentation with risk assessment support for the RTP mission
  • 2Develop comprehensive threat pictures for NGA Research programs and identify potential vulnerabilities
  • 3Assess impacts of information loss and perform overall security risk evaluations for NGA research efforts
  • 4Create tailored classification guidelines for innovative GEOINT tools and specialized data handling
  • 5Advise on classified information protection and classification management strategies
  • 6Coordinate with PMs and OGC to identify export-controlled ITAR restricted technologies
  • 7Deliver briefings on evolving security policies and foreign government relationships
  • 8Apply BI and social network analysis to uncover threats across supply chains and research collaborations
  • 9Analyze technology ecosystems including domestic and foreign supplier tiers for critical components
  • 10Lead program protection planning initiatives and manage security frameworks
  • 11Maintain compliance with DoDI standards and apply intelligence community security protocols

Requirements11

  • 115+ years of security program development experience
  • 2Proven track record in RTP and P2 planning
  • 3Expertise with DoDI 5200.1 and 5200.48 information security standards
  • 4Familiarity with distribution statements and controlled markings
  • 5Strong understanding of DoDI 5230.24 and 5200.39 protocols
  • 6Knowledge of technology and program protection guides
  • 7Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • 8Bachelor's degree with relevant professional certifications
  • 9Experience with SFPC SAPPC SPIPC SPSC certifications
  • 10Master's or PhD degree preferred
  • 11Industry leadership experience at NGA or similar organizations
