What You'll Do8

  • 1Design and deploy IA components across multi-enclave networks and computing environments.
  • 2Execute security authorization activities under DoD RMF and NIST RMF guidelines.
  • 3Conduct technical security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.
  • 4Integrate security functionality into system components, including COTS and GOTS cryptography.
  • 5Collaborate with architects and developers to enforce Agency security policies throughout the engineering lifecycle.
  • 6Drive system security engineering across configuration control and change management.
  • 7Perform incident handling and live threat mitigation for operational systems.
  • 8Ensure compliance with NISCAP and cross-domain security requirements.

Requirements9

  • 1Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
  • 215+ years of software development experience with a Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or 19+ years hands-on experience without a degree.
  • 3Applied expertise in designing and deploying IA components in multi-enclave environments.
  • 4Practical experience with RMF and NIST authorization activities.
  • 5Hands-on vulnerability assessment and mitigation strategy development.
  • 6In-depth understanding of core IA principles: confidentiality, integrity, availability, non-repudiation, access control, identification, authentication, authorization.
  • 7Familiarity with cross-domain solutions, COTS, GOTS cryptography, and intrusion detection systems.
  • 8Desired: Advanced cybersecurity certification such as CISSP, ISSEP, CASP+, or CISM.
  • 9Desired: Familiarity with NSA/CSS business processes for security engineering.
