Security Officer Part Time Campus Patrol
Overview
Security role supporting a university environment with on site presence and customer service in a part time schedule. You will patrol campus grounds and buildings to deter incidents and maintain a welcoming atmosphere. You will work with a collaborative team delivering integrity and safety across educational operations.
What You'll Do6
- 1Build routine and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeters to identify unusual conditions
- 2Show presence at access points and monitor campus activity reporting concerns and maintenance issues
- 3Respond to incidents in a calm, problem solving manner and coordinate with campus staff
- 4Document activity in logs and reports in accordance with site procedures
- 5Provide courteous customer service to students, staff, visitors, and vendors
- 6Communicate professionally with stakeholders to support a safe campus experience
Requirements5
- 1Have at least 2 years of security related experience
- 2Possess a New York State Security Guard License
- 3Be at least 21 years of age
- 4High school diploma or equivalent
- 5Background check and drug screen as required by law
