What You'll Do5
- 1Provide customer service to students faculty staff visitors and contractors by carrying out security procedures campus policies and emergency response activities
- 2Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm professional problem solving manner following site specific reporting and escalation procedures
- 3Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of campus buildings grounds parking areas and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual activity hazards and policy concerns
- 4Monitor access points and campus activity assisting with visitor direction access control procedures and enforcement of site specific rules
- 5Prepare clear accurate incident reports and communicate observations concerns and shift information to Allied Universal leadership and appropriate site contacts
Requirements8
- 1Possess at least 2 years of security related experience
- 2Hold a New York State Security Guard License
- 3Be at least 21 years of age
- 4Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred
- 5Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
- 6Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- 7Subject to background investigation in accordance with all applicable laws
- 8Drug screening required where legally permissible
