What You'll Do10
- 1Build and maintain chemical storage and mixing areas in compliance with regulations and MSDS requirements
- 2Design and implement calibration and application techniques for spraying and fertilizer use to ensure precise results
- 3Lead safety inspections for equipment and staff, directing proper handling and licensing for chemical tasks
- 4Own documentation including application logs and related reports to support regulatory compliance
- 5Scale and improve training programs for associates, supervise maintenance staff, and address performance issues
- 6Collaborate with environmental and regulatory teams to resolve environmental concerns and ensure policy adherence
- 7Drive staffing decisions, interview and train new associates, and monitor manpower and productivity
- 8Maintain up-to-date knowledge of chemicals and fertilizers, forecasting needs and budgets
- 9Ensure attendance, safety equipment use, and adherence to company policies across the department
- 10Monitor regulatory changes and ensure ongoing compliance across city, state, and federal requirements
Requirements5
- 1Bachelor's degree or AA in agronomy horticulture plant science or soil science
- 2Three to four years of related experience or training
- 3Valid Driver's License and Valid Pesticide Application License
- 4Ability to work in wet humid outdoor conditions and near moving mechanical parts
- 5Willingness to work in a safety-focused hospitality environment and manage departmental staff
