Overview
Join Michaels Stores as a Seasonal Service Team Member in San Jose, CA. You will own the front-end customer experience, from greeting shoppers to executing a fast checkout process, while also supporting truck unload and merchandise recovery. Work with the BOPIS and SFS systems to fulfill online orders and engage customers on the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards. Your role is essential to maintaining store standards and delivering our Brand Promises. This position offers hands-on retail experience in a dynamic store environment.
What You'll Do10
- 1Deliver friendly customer service and help customers locate products and provide solutions in the front end.
- 2Execute a fast and friendly checkout experience, handling cash and payments accurately.
- 3Engage customers on the benefits of the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, completing enrollments.
- 4Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey to gather feedback.
- 5Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
- 6Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes to ensure shelves are full and organized.
- 7Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance, including the return/go-back process and general store recovery.
- 8Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
- 9Support shrink and safety programs, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies.
- 10Cross-train in Custom Framing selling and production to assist in that department.
Requirements9
- 1Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
- 216+ years of age or older as required by applicable law.
- 3Ability to stand for long periods and move throughout the store.
- 4Ability to bend, lift, carry, reach, and stretch regularly.
- 5Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using ladders or similar equipment.
- 6Must satisfy federal, state, and local legal requirements for the role.
- 7Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and early mornings in a public retail setting.
- 8Experience with POS systems and cash handling is a plus.
- 9Ability to work in climate-controlled public areas and occasionally in non-climate-controlled stock rooms or outdoors.
Salary Insight
