Scrum Master, IT Release Management & Remedy
Overview
You will own release management for a financial services client, coordinating deployments across Remedy and ServiceNow environments in a 12-month contract. You'll work with cross-functional tech teams, driving Scrum ceremonies and ensuring smooth production releases. This role combines hands-on release coordination with Agile coaching, and offers the chance to use vibe coding skills if you have them.
What You'll Do8
- 1Drive release planning and execution for Remedy-based workflows, coordinating with dev teams and stakeholders.
- 2Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, retrospectives) for 2-3 teams.
- 3Manage the release calendar and change tickets in ServiceNow, ensuring all deployments meet compliance.
- 4Collaborate with engineers to resolve blockers and keep sprints on track, using Jira or similar tools.
- 5Champion continuous improvement, reducing cycle time for software releases by 20% in the first quarter.
- 6Run post-release reviews and document lessons learned to refine the release process.
- 7Coach teams on Agile best practices, removing impediments and fostering self-organization.
- 8Support vibe coding experiments, guiding prompt-based coding sessions where applicable.
Requirements8
- 15+ years as a Scrum Master in an enterprise IT environment.
- 2Hands-on experience with Remedy for release and change management.
- 32+ years working with ServiceNow for incident and change tracking.
- 4Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and scaling practices like SAFe.
- 5Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
- 6Excellent communication skills, able to lead cross-functional meetings and report to executives.
- 7Certified Scrum Master (CSM or PSM) required.
- 8Ability to work onsite in Jersey City, NJ 3 days per week.
