Agile Project Manager, Scrum & Kanban
Overview
You will own the Agile transformation for product teams at a large enterprise, coaching leaders and stakeholders to adopt Scrum, Kanban, and continuous improvement. Working onsite at 2 Broadway, New York, you will facilitate ceremonies, training, and workshops across multiple teams. This long-term role is for a mentor who can drive measurable delivery improvements. You will report to the PMO and collaborate with tech leads to remove impediments. The role demands 5+ years of Agile coaching in complex environments.
What You'll Do9
- 1Build a coaching plan for product teams, leaders, and stakeholders within the first 30 days, focusing on Agile adoption in Jira and Confluence.
- 2Coach teams on Scrum and Kanban practices, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, to improve velocity by 20%.
- 3Drive enterprise Agile transformation initiatives by facilitating workshops on Lean and SAFe frameworks.
- 4Design and run Agile training sessions for new teams, covering roles, ceremonies, and scaling frameworks.
- 5Mentor product owners on backlog grooming and prioritization using Jira epics and stories.
- 6Facilitate cross-team coordination and dependency management using Kanban boards and Scrum of Scrums.
- 7Promote continuous improvement by analyzing retrospectives and implementing action items.
- 8Lead Agile maturity assessments and present findings to senior leadership.
- 9Cooperate with engineering managers to remove organizational impediments in the first 90 days.
Requirements8
- 15+ years as a Project Manager or Agile Coach with Scrum and Kanban expertise.
- 23+ years in enterprise Agile transformation in large, complex environments.
- 3Proven experience coaching product teams and executives on Agile principles.
- 4Hands-on facilitation of Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives.
- 5Certified CSM, PSM, or SAFe (Scrum Master or Program Consultant).
- 6Experience with Jira and Confluence for tracking and documentation.
- 7Strong facilitation and workshop design skills for Agile training sessions.
- 8Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
