What You'll Do9
- 1Design and develop SATCOM systems for worldwide network of facilities providing critical tactical and strategic data
- 2Lead systems engineering efforts to deliver enterprise SATCOM capabilities
- 3Assess satellite communications architectures and hardware limitations to define new concepts and approaches
- 4Drive engineering tasks involving development design or integration of complex SATCOM subsystems
- 5Coordinate cross-functional teams to plan test field and sustain systems meeting DoD requirements
- 6Optimize cost schedule performance risks through mitigation planning while coordinating disparate design efforts
- 7Develop and maintain Systems Architecture Diagrams and technical documentation including CONOPS and System Architecture Plans
- 8Implement IP network technologies and adhere to DoDAF standards for wideband narrowband and protected communications
- 9Collaborate with DoD CIO Joint Staff Combatant Command Service agencies to integrate systems engineering processes
Requirements10
- 14+ years of DoD end-to-end SATCOM systems engineering and architecture design experience
- 24+ years of DoD system lifecycle involvement including acquisition requirements analysis engineering design sustainment
- 3Expertise assessing satellite communications architectures and selecting innovative solutions
- 4Proven leadership in engineering tasks developing integrated SATCOM systems
- 5Experience with DoDAF standards satellite communications IP networks and system acquisition processes
- 6Top Secret clearance required with background investigation
- 7Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or IT field
- 8Certifications such as CPC Card BCBA AWS Certified relevant to systems engineering
- 9Experience drafting DoD documentation including Memorandums of Understanding and Engineering Change Proposals
- 10Strong understanding of wideband narrowband and protected communications architectures
