Overview
You will lead a delivery team of 20+ SAP professionals in a long-term, onsite role in Miami. Your primary focus is driving on-time, on-budget delivery of projects built on SAP FICO and ABAP while managing escalations. You will work closely with project stakeholders to align technical execution with business goals. This role demands deep hands-on expertise alongside strong leadership and escalation management.
What You'll Do10
- 1Direct the delivery lifecycle for SAP FICO and ABAP initiatives, ensuring milestones are met within the first 90 days.
- 2Build and mentor a high-performing team of consultants, setting clear ownership for each module.
- 3Own escalation resolution for critical incidents, managing stakeholder communication and driving swift closure.
- 4Coordinate with project managers to track progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans.
- 5Drive technical design reviews for ABAP developments, enforcing best practices and maintainable code.
- 6Lead client workshops to gather requirements and translate them into actionable delivery plans.
- 7Monitor delivery KPIs, reporting regularly to leadership on schedule, budget, and quality metrics.
- 8Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between FICO consultants and ABAP developers to resolve integration issues.
- 9Champion continuous improvement, streamlining delivery processes to reduce defects and rework.
- 10Serve as the final escalation point for technical blockers, making decisions to keep projects on track.
Requirements10
- 120+ years of overall SAP experience, with at least 10 years in a delivery lead role.
- 2Hands-on expertise in SAP FICO configuration and ABAP development, including debugging and performance tuning.
- 3Proven track record of managing escalations and resolving conflicts in complex SAP environments.
- 4Strong project leadership experience, having managed multi-stream workstreams with budget responsibility.
- 5Excellent communication and stakeholder management, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- 6Experience with full lifecycle implementations, including blueprint, realization, go-live, and support.
- 7Willingness to work onsite in Miami, FL for a long-term engagement.
- 8SAP Certification in FICO or ABAP is strongly preferred.
- 9Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to shifting business needs.
- 10Located in or open to relocating to the Miami area; no remote option.
