SAP Solution Architect FICO - Banking & Financial Services
Overview
You will architect and deliver SAP FICO solutions for banking and financial services clients at a national consultancy. You will lead the full lifecycle from blueprint through go-live, owning the design of FI, CO, Asset Accounting, and Profitability Analysis modules. You will work directly with client finance teams and collaborate with a cross-functional squad of SAP consultants. This role offers the chance to shape enterprise financial architectures 5+ years in the making, with direct impact on SAP S/4HANA transformations.
What You'll Do8
- 1Architect SAP FICO solutions for banking and financial services, applying document splitting and parallel ledgers to meet regulatory requirements.
- 2Lead blueprint workshops to capture complex financial processes, translating them into SAP S/4HANA configuration designs.
- 3Configure General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Asset Accounting within the first 90 days for a major banking client.
- 4Integrate FICO with SD, MM, and Treasury, ensuring seamless data flow in SAP ECC 6.0 and S/4HANA.
- 5Develop custom ABAP reports and interfaces for banking transaction processing and reconciliation.
- 6Guide development teams on RICEFW objects, enforcing SAP best practices for financial modules.
- 7Drive unit and integration testing, resolving defects and optimizing FICO configuration for performance.
- 8Deliver end-user training and go-live support, ensuring smooth adoption of new SAP processes.
Requirements7
- 15+ years of SAP FICO implementation experience, with at least 2 full life-cycle projects in banking or financial services.
- 2Expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance and Controlling, including Universal Journal and Asset Accounting.
- 3Proven ability to configure FICO integration with Treasury, Banks, and Credit Management.
- 4Strong ABAP debugging and CDS view knowledge for financial reporting.
- 5Experience with SAP Fiori apps for finance is a plus.
- 6Certification in SAP S/4HANA Finance is highly desired.
- 7Local to Dallas, TX or Alpharetta, GA; willing to work onsite 5 days per week.
