Salon Manager, Cosmetology & Guest Services at Cal-Am Properties
Overview
cosmetology leadership role managing a salon within a resort setting and overseeing beauty services for a returning clientele. Lead a team of stylists, nail technicians, aestheticians, and receptionists while ensuring a high quality guest experience. Work closely with regional leadership to manage operations, inventory, and promotional initiatives. This contract, part-time position offers seasonal scheduling and performance-based commissions.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build schedules and organize shifts to meet peak times and seasonality
- 2Lead hiring, training, and supervising beauty staff to deliver consistent services
- 3Manage salon appearance, cleanliness, and inventory including product displays
- 4Drive client acquisition and retention by promoting salon services at resident events
- 5Own daily financials including processing and delivering receipts to accounting
- 6Coordinate with regional directors on meetings, training, and PR plans for the salons
- 7Distribute appointments fairly among stylists and technicians to optimize utilization
- 8Maintain professional atmosphere and serve as a resource for procedures and policy
- 9Report maintenance, equipment issues, or incidents to management
- 10Train receptionists and staff on processing client payments and services rendered
Requirements5
- 1Current State Board of Cosmetology license
- 2Arizona State-board certified Cosmetology license including 1500 hours of classroom and practical training
- 3High school diploma or equivalent
- 4Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 20 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- 5Strong communication and guest service skills
