Sales Engineer, Robotic Automation & Industrial Solutions
Overview
This role owns sales strategy and execution for robotic automation solutions across South Florida. You will identify, qualify, and close technical deals with new and existing customers, growing market share in a defined territory. Working with a cross-functional team of engineers and customer relations specialists, you will negotiate pricing with suppliers and deliver tailored solutions. This position offers direct impact on revenue growth and long-term customer partnerships.
What You'll Do8
- 1Build and execute a sales plan for South Florida to exceed annual revenue targets.
- 2Identify and qualify new business opportunities with manufacturers and integrators.
- 3Manage a pipeline of leads through NetSuite, tracking every interaction and deal stage.
- 4Develop pricing and contract strategies with key suppliers like FANUC and KUKA.
- 5Collaborate with engineering teams to design custom robotic workcells that meet customer specs.
- 6Own key account relationships, visiting customers on-site to understand production challenges.
- 7Forecast monthly and quarterly sales, reporting on deal health and market feedback.
- 8Train continuously on new automation products and industry trends to stay ahead.
Requirements8
- 14+ years in technical field sales, selling high-value automation or industrial equipment.
- 2Bachelor's degree in engineering or business discipline.
- 3Proven track record of closing six-figure deals with manufacturers.
- 4Experience negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers and customers.
- 5Ability to read engineering drawings and understand PLC/HMI logic.
- 6Strong communication and presentation skills for C-level audiences.
- 7Willingness to travel 50% within South Florida territory.
- 8Experience with CRM tools like NetSuite for pipeline management.
