What You'll Do11

  • 1Develop and execute programs policies procedures and training as subject matter expert for operational risk assessments and ergonomics assessments in multiple settings
  • 2Perform hazard risk exposure ergonomic assessments for current and future processes involving change management or new material introductions
  • 3Support day-to-day activities across the Summit campus including GMP cell therapy clinical drug substance manufacturing operations and support of engineering facilities warehouses and quality control laboratories
  • 4Ensure compliance with federal state and local environmental safety and health laws regulations and consensus guides
  • 5Develop and implement new EHS programs policies and procedures while updating existing ones
  • 6Provide technical oversight of EHS programs and activities on-site
  • 7Attend governance meetings such as operation huddles tier meetings GEMBA walks and EHS committees
  • 8Apply EHS regulatory requirements in GMP settings and coach teams to empower ownership of best practices
  • 9Accountable for EHS regulatory preparedness participation in inspections self-assessments and audits
  • 10Conduct incident investigations develop corrective actions and utilize EHS platforms for investigations inspections and compliance
  • 11Manage cross-functional sitewide projects and lead initiatives in project management and risk mitigation

Requirements7

  • 1Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science Occupational Health Safety Engineering or related field
  • 2Minimum 5 years experience in EHS preferably within GMP manufacturing biotechnology pharmaceutical or R&D environments
  • 3At least 3 years conducting facility and laboratory audits
  • 4Minimum 2 years performing ergonomic assessments and implementing corrective actions
  • 5Professional certifications such as CSP CIH or CHMM preferred
  • 6Experience interfacing with regulatory agencies inspectors and external auditors
  • 7Strong project management skills and ability to deliver complex sitewide initiatives
