Robotic Weld Operator/Programmer
Overview
You own robotic welding cells to produce high-quality metal components at scale, operating FANUC and ABB robots with MIG and TIG welding processes on a 4x10 shift. You work directly with WPS and blueprints to program precise welds, monitor quality, and troubleshoot issues. What You'll Do10
- 1Operate robotic welders to produce welded metal components, ensuring safe and consistent output in the first 90 days.
- 2Set up robotic welding equipment, including fixtures and tooling, to meet WPS and production requirements.
- 3Program robotic welders to execute precise welds per engineering drawings and welding procedure specifications.
- 4Perform MIG and TIG welding for production, rework, or special projects as needed.
- 5Monitor weld quality and adjust programs or setups to maintain high standards and ISO compliance.
- 6Troubleshoot and resolve issues with robotic welding cells, covering equipment, programming, and process problems.
- 7Collaborate with team members to improve processes and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- 8Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on robotic welding equipment to ensure reliable operation.
- 9Support fabrication activities for pressure vessels and other welded assemblies.
- 10Complete other related duties to support production and plant operations.
Requirements10
- 13+ years in robot operation, with robotic welding experience strongly preferred.
- 2Hands-on experience operating, setting up, and programming robotic welders.
- 3Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding in a production or fabrication environment.
- 4Ability to read and apply welding procedure specifications (WPS).
- 5Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
- 6Strong aptitude for problem solving in a production and automation environment.
- 7Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- 8Methodical, organized, and precise work style with strong attention to detail.
- 9Proactive approach to identifying issues and proposing practical solutions.
- 10Experience with fabrication processes, including pressure vessels, is a plus.
