The RN Unit Manager owns nursing operations for a 164-bed long term care unit at Sterling Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. What You'll Do9
- 1Lead a team of nurses and CNAs to deliver excellent resident care on the acute and long term care unit.
- 2Ensure adequate staffing levels by adjusting schedules and assigning resources to meet resident needs.
- 3Supervise resident care assessments and intervene when clinical issues arise.
- 4Implement facility procedures to maintain compliance with Pennsylvania nursing regulations and Federal long term care standards.
- 5Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to address resident care plans and discharge planning.
- 6Conduct staff performance evaluations and provide coaching to improve clinical skills.
- 7Manage unit budget and supplies to control costs without compromising care quality.
- 8Respond to family concerns and resolve conflicts to maintain satisfaction.
- 9Document care activities and incident reports accurately for regulatory review.
Requirements7
- 1Current RN license issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
- 22+ years of nursing experience in acute or long term care settings.
- 3Knowledge of Federal, State, and local long term care regulations.
- 4Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and direct nursing staff.
- 5Effective communication and problem-solving skills for daily unit challenges.
- 6Physical ability to perform job duties as outlined in job requirements.
- 7Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
