RN Emergency Department Night Shift Job in Orlando FL
Overview
Own triage and treatment for a 12-bed emergency department serving Orange County, backed by a 24/7 urgent care track and observation unit. Join a team that values whole-person care and offers a Clinical Ladder Program with raises up to 20%. Work nights, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with weekend rotation, in a facility designed for rapid care. State-of-the-art ED with pediatric area and ground transport support.
What You'll Do8
- 1Conduct comprehensive assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors for each patient.
- 2Develop and implement individualized care plans, adjusting based on patient outcomes and standards of care.
- 3Administer medications and treatments safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
- 4Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to boost compliance.
- 5Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
- 6Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the medical record, including patient info, interventions, and outcomes.
- 7Use abstract reasoning to assess patients, evaluate interventions, and revise care plans according to outcomes.
- 8Serve as a team player within the unit, supporting colleagues during high-acuity situations.
Requirements10
- 1Associate's of Nursing [Required], Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
- 21+ year acute care hospital setting [Preferred]
- 3Registered Nurse (RN) license [Required]
- 4Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
- 5Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Required]
- 6Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) [Required]
- 7Must be fluent in English (read, verbal, written)
- 8Basic computer skills, including navigating Microsoft Windows programs
- 9EKG competency
- 10Organizational and multi-tasking skills, with knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
