Overview

The Rigger III will own and lead lifting operations ensuring safe and efficient material handling. This role involves leading teams and overseeing helper positions while maintaining compliance with safety standards. It requires a strong background in rigging and heavy equipment operation.

What You'll Do11

  • 1Act as safety observer on equipment lifts
  • 2Inspect all rigging equipment
  • 3Plan or assist in planning of lifts
  • 4Attach loads using slings chains shackles hooks cables and other rigging equipment
  • 5Tie rope around load for guiding during lifting and positioning
  • 6Signal equipment operator during lifts for directional or placement instructions
  • 7Guide load during lift and positioning
  • 8Climb structures to guide and position load
  • 9Assist in connecting or stabilizing of load prior to detaching load from equipment
  • 10Detach loads and remove rigging equipment
  • 11Place and remove outrigger pads from cranes and other heavy equipment

Requirements11

  • 1Must have 4+ years experience NCCER Advanced or NCCCO Level 1 & 2 Journeyman Rigger
  • 2Must possess all knowledge skills abilities for positions
  • 3Must have or be able to successfully complete the NCCER Rigging assessment
  • 4Must be able to meet all physical requirements
  • 5Must be able to work at heights in excess of 300 ft
  • 6Must have all required tools
  • 7Must have reliable transportation
  • 8Current Zachry or Zachry ROF’ed employee preferred
  • 9Experience working with Zachry Industrial Inc
  • 10Industrial Ironworker experience
  • 11Knowledge of lift planning equipment load capacities
