You own the safety and efficiency of every lift, coordinating with operators to move loads accurately. This role sits within a skilled staffing team supporting large-scale projects. What You'll Do8

  • 1Direct crane operators with accurate hand signals to position loads safely and precisely.
  • 2Inspect rigging gear and know the load weight before each lift to prevent accidents.
  • 3Communicate with crew members on the ground to coordinate movement and timing.
  • 4Follow site safety rules and OSHA standards for signal persons during heavy lifts.
  • 5Support crane setup and positioning on uneven or confined worksites.
  • 6Alert operators to hazards like power lines or unstable ground using hand signals.
  • 7Keep the work area clear of obstructions and bystanders during lifting operations.
  • 8Assist with moving and securing equipment when cranes are not in use.

Requirements8

  • 11+ years of rigging experience on construction sites with heavy equipment.
  • 2Proven skill in using hand signals for crane communication.
  • 3Knowledge of rigging hardware: slings, shackles, and hooks.
  • 4Ability to calculate load weights and determine safe lifting angles.
  • 5OSHA 30-hour certification preferred.
  • 6Physically fit to stand, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • 7Reliable transportation to Miami or Fort Lauderdale work sites.
  • 8Must pass a background check and drug screening.
