Retirement Plan Installation Manager
Overview
Own the full installation lifecycle for new retirement plans, from document collection to first contribution, at a firm serving 400+ clients. Coordinate with internal teams and recordkeeping partners, lead client calls, and ensure accurate, compliant setup across all systems. Draft plan documents using Relius and FT William, and support ongoing amendments. This role requires 3+ years of qualified retirement plan administration experience and a sharp eye for detail.
What You'll Do10
- 1Manage all aspects of installation and conversion projects, from document collection to first contribution, ensuring timely and accurate setup.
- 2Serve as the primary contact for clients, advisors, and recordkeeping partners during the implementation process, addressing questions and resolving issues.
- 3Identify and consult with clients on solutions to ease plan operation and administration, recommending best practices.
- 4Lead installation calls with clients, advisors, and internal partners to review plan setup, document provisions, responsibilities, and key deadlines.
- 5Establish new plans and create amendments using Relius and FT William document systems accurately and within deadlines.
- 6Review and prepare Plan Document comparison assessments as needed to support client decisions.
- 7Generate all required regulatory notices and coordinate with distribution partners for fulfillment.
- 8Collaborate cross-functionally with compliance, sales, operations, and client services to ensure aligned processes and outcomes.
- 9Maintain client files and the Plan Document Library, ensuring all documents are current and saved correctly.
- 10Drive continuous improvement of installation systems and procedures, and mentor a small team as the role evolves.
Requirements10
- 13+ years experience in qualified retirement plan administration, including plan document creation.
- 2Hands-on experience drafting retirement plan documents, with proficiency in Relius and FT William strongly desired.
- 3Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- 4Familiarity with PensionPro or similar industry software is a plus.
- 5Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to explain complex provisions clearly to clients.
- 6Keen attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in all work.
- 7Self-motivated and driven, able to work independently and as part of a team.
- 8Ability to shift and prioritize work as needed in a dynamic environment.
- 9ASPPA or NIPPA designation highly desired.
- 10Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
