Overview

Advance Stores Company Inc seeks a professional level sales position to support DIY business advanced functions. This role requires expert knowledge of store systems advanced automotive system knowledge and part knowledge. The position involves facilitating selling experiences managing DIY services ensuring high standards of customer service and store appearance.

What You'll Do17

• 1Facilitate selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls
• 2Achieve personal store sales goals and service objectives
• 3Manage DIY services including battery installation testing wiper installs
• 4Ensure high standards of customer service and store appearance standards
• 5Key holder responsibilities including task assignment and completion safety open close duties
• 6Assist in store inventory processes including truck put away shoot outs cycle counts back stock
• 7Store cleanliness including floors bathrooms facing dusting parking lot
• 8Provide DIY services including battery installation testing wiper installs
• 9Success factors include friendly communication ability to locate and stock parts safety knowledge operating inventory systems store equipment parts and automotive system knowledge operating POS and parts lookup systems expert at testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY services advanced solution project and product quality recommendation ability advanced parts lookup and sourcing advanced selling skills for DIY
• 10Working knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic ability to include internal engine suspension brakes electronic exhaust etc
• 11Speak and write English communicate effectively build strong relationships with customers peers and management ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions parts catalogs and procedure manuals ability to write simple correspondence understand and execute instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form successfully complete the Parts Knowledge Assessment
• 12Use basic math accurately add subtract multiply divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals
• 13Use Microsoft software effectively Word Excel required
• 14Strong organizational skills ability to work an assortment of days evenings and weekends as needed
• 15Prior experience automotive parts 3-5 years proven sales ability with past experience in fulfillment of customer transactions
• 16Education certificates licenses registrations must have a valid driver's license ASE certification preferred but not required
