What You'll Do9
- 1Greet every customer with a warm welcome and eye contact, building rapport through friendly, personal conversation.
- 2Assess each customer's style and preferences to offer tailored fragrance recommendations that enhance their experience.
- 3Demonstrate fragrances on scent strips or skin, explaining notes and layering techniques to educate customers.
- 4Drive sales by meeting daily goals, promoting new launches and events, and using clienteling tools to build loyalty.
- 5Maintain a clean, organized, and shoppable space by merchandising new receipts, processing damages and testers, and updating signage and pricing.
- 6Open credit accounts and share Macy's loyalty benefits to grow customer relationships and repeat business.
- 7Collaborate with the Beauty team to ensure customers discover the full range of products and services.
- 8Use point-of-sale and mobile selling technology to streamline transactions and capture customer information.
- 9Support ongoing training and vendor education to stay current on trends and product knowledge.
Requirements9
- 11+ year of customer service or selling experience required.
- 2Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays with regular, dependable attendance.
- 3Ability to stand for at least two consecutive hours and lift at least 25 lbs.
- 4Comfortable with frequent use of computers, handheld equipment, cash register, and processing register transactions.
- 5Understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors in English.
- 6Read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English.
- 7Able to engage customers with warmth and expertise, demonstrating fragrances and offering tailored recommendations.
- 8Maintain a polished environment through accurate merchandising, inventory upkeep, hygiene, and compliance standards.
- 9Drive sales and client loyalty by leveraging clienteling tools and participating in sales events.
