Counter Manager Fragrances, Bloomingdale's
Overview
You will own the fragrance counter at our Stanford location, leading a team of Beauty Advisors to deliver 5+ years of personalized service and drive sales. You will manage daily operations, including merchandising, scheduling, and client development, with support from store leadership. This role blends retail management with hands-on client engagement, offering a path to grow within Bloomingdale's. What You'll Do10
- 1Lead a team of Beauty Advisors to exceed sales goals by coaching on product knowledge and clienteling techniques.
- 2Build lasting client relationships through personalized consultations and follow-up, both in-store and online.
- 3Drive sales with in-store and online clients by mastering POS systems and digital tools.
- 4Ensure visual merchandising standards are met, maintaining a compelling and organized fragrance display.
- 5Schedule and manage staff to align with peak traffic, ensuring adequate coverage during events and holidays.
- 6Handle customer service issues with a focus on resolution and satisfaction, turning complaints into loyalty.
- 7Train new Beauty Advisors on product lines, brand stories, and selling techniques.
- 8Execute promotional events and coordinate with brand partners to maximize exposure and sales.
- 9Monitor inventory levels and place orders to maintain stock without overages, using inventory software.
- 10Track individual and team performance metrics, providing regular feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements9
- 1High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 23-5 years of retail sales experience, preferably in cosmetics or fragrances.
- 3Ability to read and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules and procedural manuals.
- 4Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- 5Prolonged standing and walking, with occasional reaching, crouching, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- 6Proficient with computers, POS terminals, and handheld devices.
- 7Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- 8Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
- 9Passion for the beauty industry and staying current on fragrance trends.
