Restaurant Team Member, Cashier & Line Cook
Overview
You'll own the full guest experience at Nest Burger, taking orders, handling payments, and preparing food to spec in a high-volume Dallas location. You'll work both the POS system and the grill line from day one. Our team is tight-knit and cross-trained, and you'll rotate through stations daily. This role stands apart because you gain front-of-house and back-of-house skills in a single shift.
What You'll Do7
- 1Greet customers and answer menu questions within the first 30 seconds of their approach.
- 2Take orders accurately on the POS system, process cash, card, and mobile payments, and keep your drawer balanced.
- 3Assemble burgers and sides following Nest Burger recipes and presentation standards.
- 4Check each order against the ticket to catch errors before it leaves the window.
- 5Sanitize your station and high-touch surfaces every 30 minutes to meet health code.
- 6Track inventory levels of buns, patties, and sauce and tell the supervisor when stock runs low.
- 7Resolve customer complaints on the spot, offering a remake or refund and loop in the manager for escalations.
Requirements6
- 11+ year in a cashier, food prep, or restaurant role preferred.
- 2Basic math skills to handle cash and make change, with 1 year of experience preferred.
- 3Availability to work day shifts and night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- 4Ability to work in person at Plano, TX 75074 and relocate before starting if needed.
- 5Strong communication and time management skills to handle a rush.
- 6Friendly, adaptable, and detail-oriented with a customer-first attitude.
