What You'll Do11
- 1Perform all respiratory therapy modalities per physician orders
- 2Set up and monitor ventilators and airway devices across all patient ages
- 3Assist with emergency interventions including code blues and surgeries
- 4Conduct CPAP/Bi-PAP therapy and noninvasive cardiology procedures
- 5Execute ABG sampling using I-Stat machines and communicate results
- 6Maintain equipment functionality and perform cleaning protocols
- 7Educate patients on respiratory modalities and outpatient services
- 8Serve as primary preceptor for new staff members
- 9Follow safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions
- 10Assist with pulmonary function testing and equipment calibration
- 11Participate in trach clinic and assist with complex cases
Requirements11
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 2Registered Respiratory Therapist NBRC certification
- 3Iowa Respiratory Care Practitioner License
- 4Basic Life Support certification
- 5Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification within one year of hire
- 6Completed Iowa dependent adult abuse training
- 7Physical stamina to exert 20-50 lbs occasionally and 10-15 lbs frequently
- 8Knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to respiratory systems
- 9Proficient use of medical terminology and calculators
- 10Previous respiratory therapy experience preferred
- 11Education sufficient for licensure
