Overview
You will own residential HVAC diagnostics, maintenance, and repair across Gilbert, AZ, handling 4+ years of service calls for a growing home services team. You will work with AC units, heat pumps, furnaces, and split systems, plus occasional light commercial work. You will report to a field supervisor and join a team of 10 technicians. This role offers performance-based pay with earning potential up to $150,000+, plus 401(k) matching and year-round work.
What You'll Do8
- 1Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems, including AC units, heat pumps, furnaces, split systems, and package units
- 2Perform preventative maintenance, tune-ups, and system inspections to extend equipment life and prevent breakdowns
- 3Troubleshoot electrical, refrigeration, airflow, and mechanical issues to identify root causes and recommend solutions
- 4Handle refrigerant diagnostics, leak detection, recovery, evacuation, charging, and repairs using EPA standards
- 5Complete service calls efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship and documenting all work in the service system
- 6Communicate system conditions, repair options, and pricing clearly to homeowners, ensuring a positive customer experience
- 7Follow company safety procedures and HVAC industry best practices to maintain a safe and professional work environment
- 8Service occasional light commercial HVAC equipment, including rooftop units and small package systems
Requirements8
- 14+ years of residential HVAC service experience, with a strong diagnostic and troubleshooting background
- 2Hands-on experience servicing and repairing residential HVAC equipment, including AC units, heat pumps, and furnaces
- 3Strong electrical and refrigeration troubleshooting knowledge, including reading schematics and using multimeters
- 4EPA certification (608) preferred, with ability to handle refrigerants safely
- 5Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to drive to job sites
- 6Dependable, professional, and self-motivated, able to work independently in the field
- 7Comfortable working within a performance-based compensation structure, with earnings tied to productivity and quality
- 8Light commercial HVAC experience is a plus, but not required
