We seek a full-time Resident Monitor to oversee resident activities on the 3rd Shift. This role involves maintaining safety security and compliance while serving as a positive example for Emergency Refuge residents. Responsibilities include managing room order checking fire equipment distribution medication access monitoring security windows doors camera rounds recording incidents responding to emergencies calmly addressing shortcomings developing skills conducting security checks breath alcohol tests answering phones issuing meal tickets and performing housekeeping tasks. The ideal candidate exhibits grace patience and encouragement.

What You'll Do11

  • 1Monitor resident activities ensuring safety and rule compliance checking windows doors and reviewing security footage
  • 2Conduct periodic facility rounds distributing linens towels and providing medication access
  • 3Lead housekeeping assignments and address resident shortcomings constructively
  • 4Perform campus security checks and log observations
  • 5Administer breath alcohol tests and inspect all incoming property
  • 6Answer inquiries and wake clients for scheduled activities
  • 7Prepare meal tickets and maintain cleanliness of lobby hall and office areas
  • 8Maintain accurate records and update HMIS database
  • 9Ensure rooms are ordered before resident arrival
  • 10Respond to emergencies calmly and initiate corrective actions
  • 11Assign tasks and supervise resident house duties

Requirements8

  • 1High school diploma or GED and one year of security or social service experience
  • 2CPR and First Aid certification
  • 3Knowledge of general office procedures record keeping communication skills
  • 4Ability to extend grace in the face of rebellion
  • 5Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand/sit/walk frequently
  • 6Strong English language proficiency
  • 7Capacity to work independently with limited supervision
  • 8Commitment to The Salvation Army values and mission
