Overview

Front Desk Monitor at Eden House, a single room occupancy residence in the Bronx, serving formerly homeless adults with mental illness or HIV/AIDS. You will be the first point of contact for visitors, residents, and deliveries, controlling front door access. Part-time role at 16 hours per week, reporting to the front desk team. This role stands out because you will earn your Coordinator of Fire Safety & Alarms (F80) certification within 90 days, paid for by VOA.

What You'll Do6

  • 1Greet all visitors; assist them directly or announce their arrival to staff or residents.
  • 2Ensure that all clients sign in and out as required.
  • 3Route mail and deliveries as required.
  • 4Handle or assist in crisis intervention.
  • 5Follow assigned procedures in emergency situations.

  • 2Must possess a polite and pleasant manner, be efficient and firm.
